Our experience in the Polish market dates back to 1956, since the establishment of the state-owned company Kujawskie Zakłady Przemysłu Tłuszczowego Later in 1996, the company went public on the Warsaw Stock Exchange as ZT Kruszwica S.A.
In 2002, Bunge acquired Cereol, and became a major shareholder of ZT Kruszwica S.A. Since its capital engagement with ZT Kruszwica S.A., Bunge’s presence in Poland has contributed to the development of the vegetable fats industry and market in the country. Over the years, Bunge has increased its scale of operations in Poland. In 2006, Bunge set up in Warsaw a specialized team in IT systems and business intelligence to serve the company worldwide. In 2009 Bunge expanded operations and started to run in 2009, a vegetable fats processing plant in Karczew and in 2011 a port terminal in Swinoujscie.
As of December 2021, Bunge unifies all businesses in Poland to operate under one single company and corporate identity, in line with Bunge’s business strategy to operate as one global company
